brand exploration

Save a Fox has built a strong and passionate community around the animals they care for, as well as sparking support to speak out and fight back against fur farms and animal cruelty as a whole. This approach to advocacy done through social media platforms was more informal but allowed for a more genuine connection to be built at a more human level.

While playful, the existing branding was inconsistent and difficult to recognize—multiple logo iterations coexisted, scalability was poor, and merchandise followed no unified system. This created an amateur impression that undermined their credibility. With this in mind, I refreshed the brand to provide professional tools for greater outreach and recognition.

Recognizable Activism

A refresh for Save a Fox required refining the brand's existing core values and mission. I achieved this through a branding system that's playful and clean while being adaptable for various applications. The refresh feels professional, exciting, and playful to connect with both existing and new advocates.

  • New logo incorporates playful organic forms creating the impression of a fox playing or hiding within the letterforms—a nod to foxes' playful nature

  • Drew inspiration from the V-like head shape of foxes to create complementary logo patterns

  • Sampled main auburn color directly from red fox fur pigments

  • Result: a design system capturing the unique charms of foxes while inviting further brand engagement
